Free the Women Round Vinyl Stickers

This is my very first design I created a few years ago for International Women's Day inspired by the words "none of us are free until all of us are free" said by the likes of Maya Angelou and Fanny Lou Hamer.

Three years after creating this design, still nothing has changed. The situation in Palestine becomes more horrifying by the day. The horror stories we hear of what is happening to innocent people in the DRC are nothing short of the stuff of nightmares and Sudan is still in crisis. 

The purpose of Olutola & Gabrielle is to encourage people who are feeling powerless in the face of the pathological greed of a comparatively small number of people. The truth is, there are people all over the world working tirelessly to fight against the current, but of course, we cannot do everything and save every cause single handedly. Instead, we can lend support to those who are doing the intense work on the front lines. 

This ornament displays support for Palestine, the DRC and Sudan by proudly displaying their flags in the turban, worn by a silhouette to represent all oppressed women. Therefore the charity I chose to donate to with sales of this ornament is the Women for Women Foundation. A charity that supports women in LEDCs in order to help them become economically independent. This charity also works in the three countries honoured in this ornament design. 

I will be creating new designs that honour each country individually, with charities specifically tied to each country for anyone who wants to lend extra support to one specific cause. I do my best to try and ensure that the charities I choose are reputable and actually put the people first, so I actively avoid all mainstream, large scale charities that take up most of the adspace. If there are any small foundations, causes, or initiatives you believe are doing good work and deserve donating to, please don't hesitate to reach out as I want to help as many people as I can. These are rated to last over six years due to high-quality production. The base materials for all custom round stickers are top-tier vinyl and vibrant inks. The design layer is covered by a UV resistant laminate. If removal is necessary, the adhesive backing won't leave residue behind.
